  1. Getting Started, At this point you have an account to access the booking system. If you are only using the booking system to book a skip service follow the section marked as Book a Service. If you plan to register a skip provider business follow the section marked as Skip Provider.
  2. Register an Account. A registered, and verified, account is required in order to book the waste skip that you require . The information that you provide, your name, email address and phone number, will only be shared with the owner of the skip service. As part of the registration process, an email will be sent to the email address provided. Follow the link in the email to verify your email account.
  3. Account.
    • Details. Your name and contact details for your account. If you have registered a Skip Provider business the name and banking details will be displayed.
    • Bookings. A list of your currently active bookings.
      • Adding a new booking.
        1. Navigate to the Account Bookings list.
        2. Select the Add button
        3. Select your Skip Provider.
        4. In order for your skip provider to be in the dropdown list you need to have been granted credit by that provider.
        5. Enter the delivery address in the Search Box. Select your address from the dropdown. You can amend the address/location on the map by clicking on it.
        6. Select the Distribution Centre. If no Distribution Centres are available your Skip Provider does not service the delivery address you provided.
        7. Select the size/volume of the skip you require
        8. Select the type of waste you would like to have removed
        9. Enter a delivery date
        10. Enter a collection date. This is only an estimate of the date you think the skip will be ready for collection.
        11. Select Add
        12. Confirm the details of your booking. If you are happy with the details you can either select to Pay Now or Pay Later. The Pay Later option will only be available if you have requested to do so with your Skip Provider.
        13. If you have selected to Pay Now. Provide your payment details as required.
    • Booking History. Browse your previously closed bookings.
  4. Company.
    • Details. Your company name and banking details.
    • Distribution Centres. A map depicting the regions that your company services.

      You need to have at least 1 distribution centre. Each distribution centre has its own skips and pricing structure.

      • Adding a new Distribution Centre. Watch Video
        1. Navigate to the Distribution Centre map.
        2. Manipulate the map, by dragging and zooming, so that the complete region that the Distribution Centre covers is visible.
        3. Above the map select the New button.
        4. On the map click the starting point of your Distribution Centres region.
        5. Continue adding markers to your map enclosing the region. The last marker/click should be on the first marker.
        6. When the region is fully enclosed you will be asked to provide a name for your Distribution Centre.
      • Editing a Distribution Centre.
        1. Navigate to the Distribution Centre map.
        2. Select the Distribution Centre you would like to update.
        3. Move the corner markers of the Distribution Centre to get a more accurate representation of the region it covers.
        4. When you are done editing, select Save.
      • Adding Skips to a Distribution Centre.
        1. Navigate to the Distribution Centre map.
        2. Select the Distribution Centre you would like to update.
        3. Select the Skips button.
        4. A list of your skips will be displayed.
        5. Select the Add button.
        6. Select the correct Skip Size from the dropdown list.
        7. Enter the Quantity of that Skip Size that will be available in the Distribution Centre.
        8. Select the Update Button.
      • Adding Pricing to Skips within a Distribution Centre.
        1. Navigate to the Distribution Centre map.
        2. Select the Distribution Centre you would like to update.
        3. Select the Skips button.
        4. A list of your skips will be displayed.
        5. Select the Skip Size you would like to add pricing to.
        6. Your current pricing for that Skip Size will be displayed.
        7. Select the Add button.
        8. Select the correct Waste Category from the dropdown list.
        9. Select the correct Hire Period from the dropdown list.
        10. Enter the Price for that Waste Category and Hire Period.
        11. Select the Update button.
      • Updating Pricing for Skips within a Distribution Centre.
        1. Navigate to the Distribution Centre map.
        2. Select the Distribution Centre you would like to update.
        3. Select the Skips button.
        4. A list of your skips will be displayed.
        5. Select the Skip Size you would like to update.
        6. Your current pricing for that Skip Size will be displayed.
        7. Select the Waste Category and Hire Period you would like to update.
        8. Update the Price for that Waste Category and Hire Period.
        9. Select the Update button.
      • Removing Pricing for Skips within a Distribution Centre.
        1. Navigate to the Distribution Centre map.
        2. Select the Distribution Centre you would like to update.
        3. Select the Skips button.
        4. A list of your skips will be displayed.
        5. Select the Skip Size you would like to update.
        6. Your current pricing for that Skip Size will be displayed.
        7. Select red trashcan icon for the Waste Category and Hire Period you would like to remove.
        8. Select Yes, confirming that you want to remove the Waste Category and Hire Period.
    • Drivers. A list of drivers you employ to collect and deliver your skips.
      • Adding a new Driver.
        1. Navigate to the Drivers list.
        2. Select the Add button.
        3. Enter the Driver's Name and Phone number.
        4. Select the Add button.
      • Updating a Driver's details.
        1. Navigate to the Drivers list.
        2. Select the Driver you would like to update
        3. Update the required details.
        4. Select the Update button.
      • Adding a Driver's mobile app Username.
        1. Navigate to the Drivers list.
        2. Select the Driver you would like to update
        3. Select the green truck icon.
        4. Select the Yes button if you would like to proceed.
        5. A Username and Password will be added to the driver.
      • Removing a Driver's mobile app Username.
        1. Navigate to the Drivers list.
        2. Select the Driver you would like to update
        3. Select the red trashcan icon.
        4. Select the Yes button if you would like to proceed.
        5. The Username and Password will be removed from the driver.
    • Debtors. Debtors are clients that:

      1. You allow to hire a skip on credit. i.e. When clients are confirming the skip they would like to hire from you they are able to "Pay Later".
      2. Allows you to book a skip on their behalf.
      3. Allows them to book a skip directly with you without Searching.

      • Adding a new Debtor.
        1. Navigate to the Debtors list.
        2. Select the Add button.
        3. Enter the Debtor's email address they used to register on CloudSkips.
        4. Select the Add button.
      • Removing a Debtor.
        1. Navigate to the Debtors list.
        2. Select the red trashcan icon next to the Debtor you would like to remove.
        3. Select the Yes button if you are sure.
    • Discounts. The discount, on your normal service price, you provide to All or individual clients. If you have both an All discount, as well as an individual client discount, the larger discount is applied.
      • Adding a Discount.
        1. Navigate to the Discounts list.
        2. Select the Add button.
        3. Enter the email address of the client you would like to grant discount to.
        4. Enter the percentage discount.
        5. Select the Add button.
      • Removing a Discount.
        1. Navigate to the Discounts list.
        2. Select the red trashcan icon next to the Discount you would like to remove.
        3. Select the Yes button if you are sure.
      • Updating a Discount.
        1. Navigate to the Discounts list.
        2. Select the Discount you would like to update.
        3. Change the percentage discount.
        4. Select the Update button.
    • Bookings. A list of all your active Bookings.
      • Filter

        Select either of All, Not Delivered, Delivered or Collected to list only that Booking Status.

      • Adding a new Booking.
        1. Navigate to the Company Bookings list.
        2. Select the Add button
        3. Add your client.
          1. Select the magnifying glass icon of the Account field.
          2. Search for and select the account of your client.
          3. Select the green Select button.
        4. Enter the delivery address in the Search Box. Select your address from the dropdown. You can amend the address/location on the map by clicking on it.
        5. Select the Distribution Centre. If no Distribution Centres are available, your current Distribution Centres do not service the delivery address you provided.
        6. Select the size/volume of the skip you require
        7. Select the type of waste you would like to have removed
        8. Select the Quantity of skips required.
        9. Enter a delivery date
        10. Enter a collection date. This is only an estimate of the date you think the skip will be ready for collection.
        11. Select a Driver that will be Tasked to delivery the new skip(s). If more than one skip is required, the same driver will be allocated the same Quantity of Tasks.
        12. Select Add
      • Download Bookings.
        1. Navigate to the Company Bookings list.
        2. Select the Download button
        3. A file, in CSV format, containing all your active bookings, will be downloaded.
      • Tasks against a Booking.
        1. Navigate to the Company Bookings list.
        2. Select the green truck icon next to the Booking.
        3. A list of Tasks for that Booking will be displayed.
          • Add a new Task.
            1. Select the Add button.
            2. Select the type of Task from the dropdown, Delivery or Collection.
            3. Select the Driver from the dropdown.
            4. Select the Add button.
          • Task Status.
            1. Select the task you would like to see more detail of.
            2. A list of events of the Task are displayed.
            3. Select an event to get further detail.
      • Exchange a Skip. A new booking is creating from the details of an existing Booking.
        1. Navigate to the Company Bookings list.
        2. Select the green refresh icon next to the booking.
        3. Enter the date the exchange will occur.
        4. Enter the new Booking's collection date.
        5. Select the Driver from the dropdown list. A delivery and collection Task will be assigned to this Driver.
        6. Select the Exchange button.
      • Extend a Booking. A new collection date is assigned to a Booking.
        1. Navigate to the Company Bookings list.
        2. Select the green calender icon next to the booking.
        3. Enter the Booking's new collection date.
        4. Select the Extend button.
      • Update a Booking.
        1. Navigate to the Company Bookings list.
        2. Select the Booking.
        3. Update the Booking as required.
          • Reference: The number you assign to your skip.
          • Status:
            • Not Delivered: The skip has not been taken to the delivery address.
            • Delivered: The skip as at the delivery address.
            • Collected: The skip has been collected from the delivery address.
            • Cancelled: The Booking has been cancelled.
          • Payment Status:
            • Not Paid: No payment has been received for the Booking.
            • Manual Payment: Payment has been received for the Booking.
            • Online Payment: The Booking has been paid for via the online payment service.
          • Invoice: The invoice number, from your accounting system, for the Booking.
          • Discount: The discount you are applying to the Booking.
          • Additional Charges: Any charges levied over and above the standard Booking rate.
          • Comment: Any notes with respect to the Booking.
        4. Select the Update button.
    • Booking History.
    • Status. The Status of your active Bookings.
      • Not Delivered. These are all the Bookings that haven't been taken to your clients delivery address. If a Driver has already been assigned a delivery Task their name will appear next to the truck icon below the collection and delivery date of the booking.
        • Updating the Status of a Booking.
          1. Navigate to the Status list.
          2. Select the Booking number of the booking.
          3. Update the Booking as required.
          4. Select the Update button.
        • Allocate a delivery Task to a Driver.
          1. Navigate to the Status list.
          2. Select the green truck icon next to the booking.
          3. Select the Driver from the dropdown list.
          4. Select the Task button.
      • Delivered. These are all the Bookings that have already been delivered to your clients. If a Driver has already been assigned a collection Task their name will appear next to the truck icon below the collection and delivery date of the booking.
        • Updating the Status of a Booking.
          1. Navigate to the Status list.
          2. Select the Skip number of the booking.
          3. Update the Booking as required.
          4. Select the Update button.
        • Allocate a collection Task to a Driver.
          1. Navigate to the Status list.
          2. Select the green truck icon next to the booking.
          3. Select the Driver from the dropdown list.
          4. Select the Task button.
        • Exchange a Skip. A new booking is creating from the details of an existing Booking.
          1. Navigate to the Status list.
          2. Select the green refresh icon next to the booking.
          3. Enter the date the exchange will occur.
          4. Enter the new Booking's collection date.
          5. Select the Driver from the dropdown list. A delivery and collection Task will be assigned to this Driver.
          6. Select the Exchange button.
        • Extend a Booking. A new collection date is assigned to a Booking.
          1. Navigate to the Status list.
          2. Select the green calender icon next to the booking.
          3. Enter the Booking's new collection date.
          4. Select the Extend button.
    • Task List. The list of Tasks previously allocated to Drivers. Use the filter to narrow the period you would like to browse.
      • Task Detail
        1. Navigate to the Task List.
        2. Select the green truck icon of the task.
    • Map. A map displaying the regions serviced by your Distribution Centres and the active Bookings allocated to those Distribution Centres.
  5. Searching. In order for us to be able to provide you with the most suitable waste skip service we required the following information:
    1. Go to the home page
    2. Enter the delivery address in the Search Box. Select your address from the dropdown. You can amend the address/location on the map by clicking on it.
    3. Select the size/volume of the skip you require
    4. Select the type of waste you would like to have removed
    5. Enter a delivery date
    6. Enter a collection date. This is only an estimate of the date you think the skip will be ready for collection.
    7. Select Search
    8. You will be presented with a list of possible skip providers. Select the one most suited. If there are no skip providers available, go back to the search page and select a skip size larger than the one you required.
    9. Confirm the details of your booking. If you are happy with the details you can either select to Pay Now or Pay Later. The Pay Later option will only be available if you have requested to do so with your Skip Provider.
    10. If you have selected to Pay Now. Provide your payment details as required.
  6. Payment. The payment of the booking is handled by either your Skip Provider, if you have been granted credit, or a third party payment gateway. CloudSkips does not store any of the information you provide during the payment process.
  7. Register a Company. If you intend to become a waste skip service provider you need to register your company details. The following information is required:
    1. Company name.
    2. Banking details. Your banking details are required in order for us to pay you any monies owing to you that your clients have paid via the online payment gateway. Please read our Terms and Conditions for more detail.
  8. Distribution Centres. After you have registered your company, you need to create a Distribution Centre. A Distribution Centre is a region on the map that your waste skip company serves. During the search, by a potential client, those Distribution Centres that enclose the delivery address will be considered. You may have multiple Distribution Centres, each with their own pricing.
  9. Waste Skips. Waste skips are associated with a particular Distribution Centre. The waste skips you add to the distribution centre will determine the service that can be provided from that centre. e.g. if your company owns 10 3 cubic meter wastes skips, add 1 skip entry to your distribution centre for a 3 cubic meter waste skip of quantity 10. You would therefore be able to provide 10 clients with a 3 cubic meter waste skip simultaneously.
  10. Price List. Each waste skip that you add to a distribution centre can be further categorized into the type of waste they can handle. e.g. if your company only provides a building rubble removal service, you only need to add a single "Building Rubble" item to each of your registered waste skips. If your company provides more than just a building rubble removal service, add those to the registered waste skips too. The pricing of all skip services provided via the CloudSkips portal is based on a fixed price, irrespective of duration of the booking.
